studiolamarc was founded in 2024 and led by south african-dutch designer callan martin austin.

studiolamarc is a young and energetic small-scale architecture and interiors studio situated in the historic city centre of leiden with a satellite studio in gardens, cape town.

we are passionate about breathing new life into existing spaces and preserving the raw character, whilst adapting them to meet the evolving needs of our clients. we challenge the perception of dilapidated spaces through the intersection of spatial layering, design intellect and evoking materials.

the design studio focuses strongly on adaptive reuse projects that push the boundaries of craftsmanship and aesthetics in the retail, private residences and hospitality sectors. we are meticulous about understanding a buildings historical signifigance as we believe it’s as important as a new motive and the rigorous particular. we pay the utmost attention to the finer details of craft and the forgotten beauty of a place.

our projects are forged by an individual approach that’s expressed through thought provoking art, modernism and a blend of old and new with rich and inspiring character.
